New Work Flows are Hard

When my Adobe subscription was up for renewal, and they were increasing the cost by something stupid, and offering not much added service. This is on top of the AI nonsense that they are adding to everything I decided to cancel my subscription.
I am still having a hard time figuring out a work flow for editing and publishing photos, and its starting to get in the way.
I have tried Darktable, but it is WAY too different and seems to bog down my machine with simple things. I've tried RawTherapee and DigiKam and both of them have both strengths and weaknesses.
What I think is going to work for me in the short term is manual file manipulation and organizing, Rawtherapee for editing photos and then manually saving the results to the places I want them, and DigiKam to keep track of everything.
Therefore I will have to do a lot more things manually and can't just go through old folders to find pictures I want to "tag" on my phone with an app and have it sync to my desktop for those times that I magically have a bit of time.
For now it will have to work, and at least I can automate some of it with batch files, tasks and Robocopy.
