Spooky Season is here

Halloween weekend is over, the weekend that everyone does their parties, and trunk-and-treating. We went to a party with other like minded aka Covid is still everywhere and we don't want to get sick families on the weekend too.

Other than a halloween party, and a lot of autumn chores around the house, I did get out for a wander around the park.

More Elections

Another thing that happened this weekend was the PC party here in Nova Scotia broke their first election promise, fixed election dates, because they (anti-fact political parties in North America) know which way the wind is blowing and want to get out in front of the elections down south. (If you're an American reading this, you better get out to vote and bring a car load of friends that didn't vote already)

Its unfortunate that the opposition parties didn't seem to be ready. Maybe they believed that Houston was going to actually keep a promise.

For me personally, my vote and support isn't going to change. In fact, nothing has really changed since Houston got in office. The health care system is worse, their relationship with municipalities is worse, and all they really want to focus on is "fighting" with the federal government.

I'm crossing my fingers that Saskatchewan kicks out Mo and that good result (along with kicking out Higgs last week) will result in fewer PC seats. I don't expect the Liberals or the NDP to get a majority, or even have the most seats in the legislature, but a minority PC government is better than another 4-ish (remember they don't want to have fixed elections afterall) years of another majority Houston.
